CBSE Result Analysis 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CBSE Result 2025 for the class 10 and 12 exams. The results for both were released on 13 May, 2025. Candidates who have appeared for the exam were able to download it from the official website, cbse.nic.in. The result-checking process was simple and candidates had to use their login credentials to download their class 10 12 mark sheets.
CBSE Result 2025 Overview
The Class 12 examinations, held from 15 February to 4 April 2025, saw an increase in schools (from 18,417 in 2024 to 19,299 in 2025) and exam centers (from 7,126 to 7,330). Class 10 exams, conducted from 15 February to 18 March 2025, had 26,675 schools (up from 25,724) and 7,837 exam centers (up from 7,603), improving accessibility for students.
In 2025, CBSE introduced 50% competency-based questions, supported by sample papers, model practice questions, and teacher training. These efforts contributed to improved pass percentages: Class 12 at 88.39% (up from 87.98% in 2024) and Class 10 at 93.66% (up from 93.60%).
High Achievers
- Class 12: 111,544 students (6.59%) scored above 90%, and 24,867 (1.47%) scored above 95%.
- Class 10: 199,944 students (8.43%) scored above 90%, and 45,516 (1.92%) scored above 95%.
Even students with special needs did well. In Class 12, 290 of them got more than 90 marks, and 55 got more than 95 marks. In Class 10, 411 students with special needs got more than 90 marks, and 66 got more than 95 marks.
CBSE Class 10 Result 2025 Pass Percentage
As per CBSE Class 10 2025 results, independent (private) schools achieved a pass rate of 94.17%. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) topped the list with an impressive 99.49% pass rate, while Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) followed closely with a 99.45% pass rate.
In contrast, government schools reported a pass percentage of 89.26%, and aided institutions recorded a lower rate of 83.94%. In the CBSE Class 10 result 2025, girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 95.00%, exceeding the 92.63% pass rate of boys by 2.37%.

In the Class 12 examinations, a notable gender difference in pass rates was observed. Girls demonstrated a higher success rate, with 91.64% passing, while 85.70% of boys achieved passing grades. This resulted in a performance gap of 5.94%, favouring female students. An encouraging outcome was seen among transgender students, who achieved a perfect 100% pass rate in Class 12.

As per available information, Nandana Ranjish and Saavi Jain have topped the CBSE Class 12th exam with 99.8% marks in the Science stream. Similarly, Aditi Ghosh has topped in Arts stream with 97.5%.
