The CUET UG 2026 application process is officially underway. In a recent update, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for registration. The official brochure and application form were released on 03 January 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. Eligible candidates can now apply online until 04 February 2026.

The exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across India and abroad from 11 May to 31 May 2026. Before applying, candidates must check the CUET UG 2026 eligibility criteria to ensure they meet all requirements.

To complete the CUET UG 2026 application form, candidates must:

Candidates looking to apply for CUET UG Application Form 2026 have to do it online. One should adhere to the following steps to complete the CUET UG Registrations 2026.

• Scanned signature (10 KB – 50 KB).

2. Education Details

In this section, candidates have to enter their qualifying exam details such as the name of the board/college, passing year, marks obtained, and percentage scored. The fields has to be filled as follows:

Step 3: Examination Centre Selection: Candidates are required to select two CUET exam centers, specifying their preferred states and cities in the order of preference for taking the exam.

Step 4: University/Programme Selection

Candidates must apply for one or more universities and programs by selecting them from the dropdown menu and clicking the Add button. If candidates wish to modify their selected universities or programs, they can do so by clicking on the ‘Update’ tab.

Step 5: Test Paper/CUET Domain Subject Selection

• Candidates can choose a minimum of three and a maximum of five subjects or papers.
• In addition to selecting CUET domain subjects, candidates must also choose the medium or language for the question paper.
• If candidates select fewer than five subjects, they should select the "NA: Not Applicable" option for the remaining subject fields.

Candidates must upload their scanned photographs and signatures in accordance with the specified requirements.

Following this step, candidates must review all the information they have entered and verify their email address. An OTP will be sent to the provided email, and upon entering this OTP, candidates will be directed to the payment section for the CUET 2026 application fee.

Step 7: Application Fee Payment

Candidates are required to pay the application fee to submit the CUET 2026 application form. Various online payment options are available, including net banking, UPI, and digital wallets. Please note that offline payment methods will not be accepted for the CUET fee 2026. The fee structure will differ for overseas candidates, and those opting for a greater number of subjects will be required to pay an additional amount.

• Candidates can select a maximum of 4 cities based on their present and permanent addresses.
• The exam will be conducted in 306 cities across India and 15 cities abroad (including Kuwait, Muscat, Doha, Riyadh, Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Washington).
• Participation Trends: In 2024, approx. 13.47 lakh students registered. In 2025, this number rose to 13.55 lakh. For 2026, registrations are expected to increase further.
